SUMMARY:The Season of Easter
DESCRIPTION:Easter isn’t just a Sunday — it’s a season. One day out of 365 is hardly sufficient to celebrate the great mystery of our faith — that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead. Accordingly\, the season of Easter lasts seven weeks (a “week of weeks”)\, spanning the 50 days from the Sunday of the Resurrection to Pentecost Sunday and encompassing the festival of the Ascension of the Lord. \nExcerpt taken from the Presbyterian Church USA website.

SUMMARY:How Do You Pray?
DESCRIPTION:How Do You Pray? is an exhibition that represents the passionate voices of artists who actively pursue religion in their own right\, refusing to fall in line with the overwhelming structures of our becoming of a Christo-nationalist nation\, for while our government preaches morality\, it is our own practices that truly define ourselves. \nAbout the Alta Collective \nAlta is the name of my great-grandmother\, whose life was shaped by her labor as a farmer\, waitress\, mother\, and grandmother. These call tags make Alta who she is\, and because of these facets of life\, the space will exist as one of hospitality. Her name also means “high” and “dignity.” Combined with Collective\, The Alta Collective represents the highest form of communal and collaborative work\, ultimately championing the creative. The collective opens doors to new people and ideas\, challenges standard industry practices\, and fosters new curatorial approaches. Its programming remains independent\, resisting pressures from hierarchical or status-driven art communities.
