SUMMARY:Creative Nature NYC Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:During our Summer Art Camps\, children spend each day playing with nature— exploring\, making\, and wondering together. Guided by curiosity and the rhythms of the outdoors\, they experiment with clay\, natural pigments\, movement\, storytelling\, and found materials\, turning the park itself into a living classroom and creative partner. Each week begins with a provocation—a material\, question\, or experience offered as an invitation. In the Reggio Emilia tradition\, educators listen closely\, document children’s ideas\, and support projects that grow from children’s curiosity. While each week has a starting theme\, the direction of the work evolves through dialogue\, observation\, and collaboration. \n  \nWeek 1 | June 29 – July 3Trees\, Materials\, Marks & Questions \nWeek 2 | July 6 – July 10Flowers\, Lines\, Traces & Drawing as Thinking \nWeek 3 | July 13 – July 17Color\, Light & Shadow \nWeek 4 | July 20 – July 24Movement\, Mapping & the Body in Space \nWeek 5 | July 27 – July 31Water\, Flow & Transformation \nWeek 6 | August 3 – August 7Ants\, Anthills & Collective Life \nWeek 7 | August 10 – August 14Body\, Voice & Rhythm \nWeek 8 | August 17 – August 21Bird\, Shelters\, & Habitats of Belonging \n\n\n\nWeek 9 | August 24 – August 28Clay\, Soil & Sand \nWeek 10 | August 31 – September 4Devices\, Drawing & Sound Instruments \nWeek 11 | GOOD NEWS: SINGLE-DAY DROP-INS AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 7–9 \n* NYC public schools reopen on September 10. \n  \nMixed-age group: 3–9 years old \n  \nDrop-off and Pick-up:  \nWe meet each morning at the park and finish the day with pick-up at our indoor space.
